WYCC PBS Chicago

WYCC PBS Chicago and the Old Town School of Folk Music, a Chicago cultural institution since 1957, team up to produce the first live concert, world music program of its kind: Musicology: Live from the Old Town School of Folk Music.

This unique and unprecedented music series is designed to bring culturally and musically significant artists and genres from around the world to U.S. audiences. Each episode features one artist or group and includes approximately 45 minutes of live concert footage interspersed with 10 minutes of pertinent back story with interviews in Chicago, and allows the artists to tell their own story. The series is shot by the WYCC film crew at the 400-seat Maurer Concert Hall at the Old Town School of Folk Music.
