Other than PBS, the vast majority of TV is not only a "vast wasteland", but a waste of the time that it takes to move through the channels to see what's on. I miss the day when other networks vied for viewers with thought provoking shows and not by showing people eating insects or worse. So why do I watch WYCC-TV20? To keep my sanity. To mentally keep in touch with people who seek something grander that the ordinary. To prove every day to myself that there is someplace that people with true intellectual curiosity can collectively experience challenge, enlightenment, thoughtful dialogue and sophisticated entertainment.
